Sequitur InTracking TDOA

Sequitur InTracking TDOA is a centralized RTLS architecture, which uses the Time Difference Of Arrival (TDOA) technique for localization.

In the centralized approach, a Central Unit connected with all the anchors (through Ethernet) estimates the positions of all the tags in the environment.

In this solution, tags are small and battery-powered with very low energy consumption, small form factor and long life (from weeks to years depending on the refresh rate, i.e., number of position updates per tag per second).

InTracking TDOA is suitable for all the applications that require long tag battery duration or tiny tags to be carried by persons or small objects.

Sequitur InGPS implements a proprietary technique that allows synchronization without the need of neither a master node nor any form of clustering/coordination among anchors. This ensures outperforming service area scalability (seamless addition of anchors and enlargement of the operating area with no need of wired anchors’ connection and/or network planning). The unique InTracking network architecture minimizes the interaction between anchors and central unit, ensuring outstanding robustness and flexibility for the deployment.

Ideal solution for tracking in very large networks with many small tags or limited refresh constraints. The position of all the tags estimated by the central unit guarantees its availability regardless unreliable wireless connections.

InGPS tags, which estimate their position (decentralized architecture), can coexist with InTracking tags and work with the same network of anchors. The professional Sequitur Manager and its web-based Sequitur User Interface enable a simple configuration, managing and monitoring of the network, including the 3D real-time visualization of the tags’ positions (both InGPS and InTracking tags). REST APIs are available for high-level interfacing with third-party software.
